- What is a Diploma Confirmation? Why is it necessary?

A diploma Confirmation is a photocopy of your diploma which has been stamped by the Korean Consulate once they have verified that your original diploma is authentic. A diploma confirmation is necessary because the Korean Government requires it for the Issuance of an educational work visa. In order to verify this, the Korean Consulate must validate your diploma. Due to instances of forged diploma being submitted by applicants without bachelors degrees, the Korean government now requires the original diploma to be physically sent in to the consulate.

- What is the class size?

Class sizes very widely depending upon setting. In most institutes, class sizes are smaller, usually only 10-15 students. At elementary, middle and high schools, there may be as many as 40 students in a class (but discipline is seldom a problem and the students are quite attentive). Classes in junior colleges and universities may range from 10-25 students, usually. While your teaching style must be vary based upon the ages, level and number of students, the experience can be very rewarding in all of these settings.

- Do the schools provide curriculums and programs?

Yes. When you arrive, you will be told what textbooks are being used, what supplemental materials are available and given your own space in which to work. There are many books and videos for teaching English in circulation in Korea, and most schools provide you with textbooks of your own from which to work. You do not really need to bring any of your own supplies, although institutes are always happy to acquire new materials for their schools and working with materials with which you are familiar may make your job easier, especially in the beggining. To help ease into your first few weeks, you may want to bring supplemental materials - photos, list of common questions, workbooks, etc.

- Do I need to speak Korean?

No. Your students prefer that you communicate in English only. If you are having difficulty in communication, there will always be a person who can speak English.

- Is there any service fee?

No. We do not require any fee for services from our candidates.
